This is a genealogical website started by someone named Skinner but connects to many other family surnames.
For casual visitors, you will only be able to find out about those that have passed on at least 20 years ago. This is done for privacy reasons. But don't let that dissuade you from looking around. Indeed, the information here goes back as much as several hundred years -- see Peter Houser and click on "Families".

In the first several weeks, lots of things have changed: more than 150 photographs, some dating back to the late 1800s, have been added; dozens of notes have been updated; the page you see when you first arrive has dozens of links (and "News" such as this); and several family member accounts have been added.
As you peruse the site, if you see anything that needs to be changed, please let me, Ed Skinner, know. You can click on my name near the bottom of this page and a box will appear where you can send me a message. And if you're "family", then you probably have my email address and telephone number. Or you can just tell me the next time we see each other.
